Debra Edwards

Graveside services for Debra Edwards, 59, of Farmerville, LA., will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Liberty/Hill Taylor cemetery in Farmerville. A visitation will be held prior to the graveside service from 10-11:30 a.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.  Rev. Aleck Nyegaard will be officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville, LA.

Debra was born on May 10, 1961 in Alexandria, LA., and passed away on December 9, 2020 at her residence in Farmerville. She had retired as a register nurse from Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, LA., after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Garland Rufus Simmons, and one son, Devin Garland Edwards.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Melton Grey Edwards, Jr., of Farmerville, LA; mother Shelvia Simmons, sister, Cathy Simmons, both of Newton, TX., son, Melton Grey Edwards III (Stephanie); daughter, Amy Edwards, son Christopher Blake Edwards, daughter, Allison Lynn Edwards, all of Farmerville, LA; eight grandchildren: Kane, Hayden, Candon, Rubin, Ryder, Grier, Emilia, and Roselynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital in her name.
