It is with great sadness, the family of David Lee O’Neal, Choudrant, Louisiana, known to many of his friends as “Buck”, announces his passing on August 28, 2020 in Wagner, South Dakota at the age of 47.  David will always be lovingly remembered by his brother, Ricky O’Neal (Brenda), his sisters, Patricia Stanton, Sherryl Dunlap and Johnna Bishop (Allen).  David will also be fondly remembered by his stepdaughters, Lauren Caldwell, Meggan Honeycutt and granddaughters, Sunny Marie Caldwell.

David is predeceased by his parents, William (Billy) and Thelma O’Neal, sister, Sharon, brother, Danny and brother-in-law, Jim Dunlap.

In lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, the family requests any memorial donations be made to Alabama Presbyterian Church, 2091 Hwy. 145, Choudrant, Louisiana 71227 or Med Camps of Louisiana, Inc. (Camp Alabama) 102 Thomas Road, #615, West Monroe, Louisiana  71271.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Alabama Presbyterian Church in Sibley, Louisiana with Dr. Allison Moody and Robert Davis officiating.

Covid 19 mandates, at this time, will be observed.

We coon hunted together, fished together, and did many other things together, for many years back in the day. He will truly be remembered and missed. David was loved and missed by myself, his wife, Tiffany O'Neal. David accepted our girls as his, before we married on July 16th, 2005. Our daughters (Meggan Honeycutt, Lauren Caldwell) loved and are grieving over their Dad. My daughters, son-in-law Austin Caldwell and I will make sure that Sunny Marie remembers her Papaw David through pictures and stories. David loved his children and granddaughter very much and he will forever be remembered.
