Funeral services for David Jay Purvis will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 20, 2018 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.David was born on November 2, 1957 to Christina and Leo Purvis.He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sheri Purvis; 4 children, Edward Purvis, Crystal Kulp, David J. Purvis, Jr. and Alisha Purvis; step children, Dustin Wroten, and Ryan Odom; 22 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Shane Wroten. He is also survived by his Uncle Joseph Ramano and Aunt Slyvia Romano; 2 brother-in-laws, Kelly Grayson and Terry Grayson; one sister-in-law, Darlene Danna; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces plus multiple friends.David enjoyed camping and fishing and could be counted on to pull pranks and make you laugh. He was a jack of all trades: truck driver, electrician, baker, and installed security systems.There will be a visitation from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
