Funeral services for David Hill, 76, of West Monroe, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Brother Neil Everett and Brother Chad Ballard will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Friday, July 19, 2024 at the church.

David was born on August 20, 1947 in Joliett, Illinois and passed away on July 16, 2024 in Monroe, Louisiana. He was the owner of David’s Auto Service for 52 years. David’s favorite pastimes were camping, hunting, and fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher R. Hill; granddaughter, Kelsey Hill; parents, Wilbur Hill, Sr. and Lois Martin Hill; sister, Kathleen Hill; and brother, Wilbur S. Hill, Jr.

David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jannie Thrash Hill; two children, Melinda Jones and husband Jon of Petal, Mississippi, Kimberly Baker and husband Opie of West Monroe, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Jonathan Jones, Chelsea Jones, Shelby Baker, Paul Baker, Christopher T. Hill and wife Miranda; one great-grandchild, Chloiee Hill; two sisters, Betty Hill, Linda Sue Hill; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Baker, Colby Spillers, Chess Hill, Michael Jones, Ronnie McManus, and Gary Lasyone. Honorary pallbearers will be Chester Hill and Mike Jones.
