Funeral services for David Edward Foster, age 73, of Ruston, will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Choudrant. Officiating the service will be Rev. Brad Jones. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.Mr. Foster was born on June 30, 1943 and died on January 14, 2017 in Ruston. He was a member and deacon at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Choudrant. He was a retired electrician from IBEW Local #446 and was also retired from Lowes. Mr. Foster is preceded in death by his parents Bryant and Exa Mae Murphy Foster, and his brother, Donald Foster.David is survived by his wife of 30 years, Reatha Green Foster; son, John David Foster and wife Tammy of Monroe; daughters, Angie Haywood and husband Terry of Ruston; Jamie Averitte and husband Tony of Ruston; Rachel Cullins and Mike DeLaney of Ruston; nine grandchildren, Amber, Brittany, Devan, Courtney, Kimberley, Garrett, Ethan, Madison, and MKayla; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Carolyn Dunning and husband Gene of Haughton; and Amanda Friedman and husband Chris of Crossett, AR.Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Choudrant, LA.Pallbearers will be Garrett Averitte, Tony Averitte, Bill Colvin, Wayne Foster, Ben Pierce, and Jessie Wells.
