Funeral services for Darrell Ellerbe, 65, will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities in West Monroe. Pastor Jason Ramsey, Bishop Mark Foster and Jeremy Foster will officiate. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park, Monroe, Louisiana, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities in West Monroe.
Darrell Ellerbe was born July 9, 1958, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, and passed away on June 9, 2024, in Monroe, Louisiana. He was the founder of the Blessed Assurance Quartet and host of the gospel music hour. Darrell enjoyed wood work, football, Diet Coke, but mostly loved his family and spending time with them. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Martin and Beulah Posey; and mother-in-law, Annie Duffy.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pam Ellerbe; son, Brad Ellerbe and his wife Samantha; grandson, Ezra Ellerbe; parents, James and JoAnn Ellerbe; sister, Beth May and her husband Jimmy; brother, Glenn Ellerbe and his wife Dorie; in-laws, Renee Jordan, Michael and Cindy Jordan, David and Jeanette Jordan, and Frankie Jordan; nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much; along with many other cherished family and friends.
