Darlene Willoughby Parkman Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Darlene Willoughby Parkman, age 54, of Ruston will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Cook Baptist Church in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mike Holloway and Rev. Don McCormack. Interment will follow at The Garden of Memories cemetery in Minden, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mrs. Parkman was born April 28, 1959 and passed away June 18, 2013 following a brief illness. She is survived by her mother: Charlene Willoughby; husband: Jerry Wayne Parkman; daughters: Somer Lemmons and Morgan Preaus; sons: Charlie Parkman, Jesse Parkman and James Parkman; brother: Kenneth Dewayne Willoughby; and 5 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Kinneth Dewayne Willoughby. Mrs. Parkman was the manager of Sherwin Williams for 28 years. She was a very loving wife, mother and daughter. Her family always came first. Darlene was always happy and upbeat and a very spirited athletic fan. Pallbearers will be Paul Martin, Danny Burnham, Kristian Scroggins, Sid Billberry, Hunter Springfield and Mark Weir. Honorary pallbearers will be Jed Davidson, Jake Hubbard, and David Calhoun. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Friday, June 21, 2013 at Cook Baptist Church in Ruston.
