I lived in Bastrop down the street from Danny. My brother & I would go down & play cowboys & Indians with Danny & Richard. I moved away for 10 years & then moved back to Monroe. When I started working at State Farm, it took me awhile to realize that he was the same Danny I knew. Small world. Sorry for your loss. God bless you all.

So sorry for your loss. I know you will miss him. When I lived in Bastrop, many years ago (57) years ago, he was my neighbor. My parents knew his parents quite well. My brother & I played would go down to their house & play cowboys & indians. After years went back I started work at State Farm & finally realized who Danny was. What a small world. God bless you all.

Richard, my sincere condolences in the passing of Danny. I had just recently corresponded with him after our mutual friend Bud Burnes had passed away. Your precious Mother and mine, Opal McCrary Harkness, were best friends growing up in Collinston. I can remember visiting with your family on many occasions in Bastrop. I later reconnected with Danny at State Farm. Again, my condolences to you and his children.

While I was not privy to know Danny before he was in bad health, however, I was blessed to be able to get to know him. Our time working together at State Farm was definitely interesting to say the least! He could be the friendliest, most jovial fellow one minute and a real grouch the next. LOL! But everyone who knew him knew of the extreme pain that he was in and no one could hold his grouchiness against him. No more pain! No more suffering! He's strumming that guitar at the feet of Jesus now! Praying for you all, Amy! (((Hugs)))
