Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Dan Evans, age 73, of Ruston, LA will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church Chapel. Rev. Dale Oden will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Pines Memorial Gardens in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.Mr. Evans was born on February 14, 1943 and died on June 17, 2016 in Dallas, TX. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Navy. He was a volunteer with The SCOP Unit of the Lincoln Parish Sheriff Office and was a surrogate parent at the Methodist Children Home in Ruston. Mr. Evans is preceded in death by his father, Glen Evans; his mother Arlene Hopkins; and step-father Donald Hopkins; and brother, Maury Hopkins.Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Linda Evans of Ruston; sons, Brian Evans of Hot Springs, AR; and Brad Evans, of Ruston; grandchildren, Claire Evans, Joseph Evans, and Luke Evans; brothers, Duane Evans and Mark Evans; sisters, Dianne Risso, Marsha Pew, Vicki Herlikofer, Janet Harris, and Nancy Gilkey.Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church Building Fund.Pallbearers will be Brad Evans, Brian Evans, Duane Evans, Ed Aston, Jerry Cummings, and Hubert Estes.Visitation will be from 5:00 7:00 P.M.
