Graveside services for Curtis Hendrix of Calhoun will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Rev. Ricky Baker will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Curtis was born March 16, 1938 in West Monroe, LA and passed away January 22, 2023 in Calhoun. He was retired from Olinkraft now Graphic Packaging and served in the United States Air Force. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents Rutherford Hayes Hendrix and Vera “Tupie” Baugh Hendrix; brother Timmy Hendrix; nephew Jason Hendrix.
Curtis is survived by his wife Madie Hendrix; son Curtis T. Hendrix, Jr. “Curt” and wife Rhonda, daughter Kay Hendrix; son Dean Hendrix; daughter Cindy Townsend and husband Howard; daughter Kelly Banks and husband Billy; sisters Gettis Steele, Margaret Montgomery (Phillip) and Gay Nelle Helms; sister-in-law Sheila Hendrix; brothers Jerry Hendrix (Karen), Roland Hendrix (Laurie), Dale Hendrix (Wanda); grandchildren Amber Hendrix, Jake Hendrix, Jamie Trichell, Brittany Watson, Cole Watson, Kyna Gregory (Jake), Jesse Hendrix, Nick Farrell (Danielle), Elizabeth Thurman (Cody), Wesley Banks (Sydney); great-grandchildren Elijah, Adele, Kaylee, Baylor, Molly, Jensen, John Kolt, Huck, Ramsi, Heath, Olivia, Sawyer, and Connor.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Wesley Banks, Nick Farrell, Cole Watson, Jake Hendrix, Jesse Hendrix and Cody Thurman.
