As one of your students I learned the meaning of a simple word, "Sir". I remember you used to tell us that you were not an officer and that you worked for a living like all noncoms but what I learned that some people have the title "Sir" but rank and some earn it though Courage, Dignity, Steadfastness, Devotion, Honor, and all those things that define a man's true nature. I have tried to the best of my abilities (based on what you taught me) to live up to your example. Some time I failed but I hope that some times I lived up to that example. I hope that in some small measure I made you proud of me. So I guess the best I can go is to say, "THANK YOU SIR, REST IN PEACE!"
