Mr. Johnny, Mrs. Dianne and Julia: Wishing I could travel to the funeral. I live out of state and am unable to make it. Luke was an absolute joy to know when I worked at Start Baptist Church as Youth Director one summer. He was the type of person you met that you never forgot and always called friend. We kept in touch thru the years and I was super proud of his accomplishments. He was something special. His love for the Lord, for family, for people, for his hometown and area made him unique. I know he is present with the Lord which is a great comfort. I am praying for you all as you mourn his loss on earth. He will be greatly missed. He has left a good and lasting impact on the people around him and in the area he calls home. America needs more young men like Luke Letlow. Blessings to you all. Ashley Bennett Anderton

Jeff Wiley..Sheriff Ascension Parish (retired) left a message on January 1, 2021:
First, like all who knew and loved Luke, I hurt like I lost a member of my family , and in a way I did, as did every sheriff in La that served with Luke when he served as the Gov Jindal liaison to La Sheriffs for 4 years ...so bright, handsome and lovable...oh, and we all knew he was going places because it was easy to see he was a natural at meeting people and earnest in his desire to serve others. He also was such a joy to be around, laughing at my quips (even when I knew the generation gap ( 30 yrs older) prevented him from understanding my humor)....and likewise me when he threw out those corny millennial wisecracks.....anyway, I ask the reader to appreciate that a young "Ken doll" named Luke came into my life, he from small town N La and me from S La and likely older than his father, and stole my heart. I playfully apologize to his beautiful wife as I many times through the years unsuccessfully tried to introduce the fourth floor's most eligible bachelor to any young pretty thing I would see in his presence...always to no avail..God always has a better plan....I close thanking Luke's parents for being the parents who raised him to be so kind, so respectful, and so willing to give of himself and I thank his beautiful wife for being THE ONE and loving him so and making him the father of his two children,,,,and I thank God for bringing that young splendid and beautiful young man into my life....rest well prince and thank you,,,Jeff Wiley
Tony Ligi left a message on January 1, 2021:
Julia and Letlow children I met your husband and father when he was 23 years old and working with the first Jindal for Governor campaign. It was clear to me that he was a shining star that would go a very long way in whatever career he chose. I always felt that one day he would become Governor of Louisiana if that is what he sought to do. I even called him Governor because I saw his tremendous talents and love for our state. His election to Congress was a huge achievement for such a young man. Since he did choose public service, I know he would have become Governor, but for the fact that our God called him to his side. He made an impact on a lot of people in showing them how to be a good person in politics. I am hope that some young person will carry forward lessons learned from him and furthers his legacy for the betterment of Louisiana. Luke’s engaging personality will always live with me. You all have a lot to be proud of and a lot of people are praying for your comfort.
