When I was very young, I couldn't pronounce Colleen very well. My pronouncation of her name was K-Nane. Well, after that, she never wanted me to call her 'mammaw' or anything like that. K-Nane taught me a lot and I was honored to be your grandson. I will forever miss my "K-NANE"

Benny Ezell left a message on April 26, 2012:
As far as I can remember, I have always been amazed by my grandmother. From her work ethic, her patriotism, to her vast knowledge about the history of our great nation, she was simply an amazing person to be around. Every trip was an educational experience, rather I liked it or not. I was able to see places that I’ve only read about in textbooks or in her immense collection of National Geographic s. Some say she was crazy for packing up 5 to 6 grandkids and driving across the country, twice might I add. I think she was just crazy about her grandkids and their education about our country. "We pay a price when we deprive children of the exposure to the values, principles, and education they need to make them good citizens." She will always be in my thoughts and never forgotten…….I love you Maw-Maw….
