Me. Claude liked my banana pudding I brought on game day at church. He would say you just didn't fix enough. He was a sweet man and will be missed! ?❤️

A good man has gone to heaven and is watching down on everyone who loved him. He radiated strength, courage and loyalty and inspired everyone around him to be the same. I will never forget being pregnant with Alina 14 years ago this coming month, and evacuating to memaw and pawpaws for a hurricane. They showed me so much love and kindness and made a lot of amazing food! I was instantly made to feel part of the family, and I felt so much comfort in knowing this was the family that I would raise my own family with. I will never forget his kind eyes, half but yet still full smile or the impact he has made on so many people. Lots of love to everyone, Carina

There are no words to express how much we love this man & will miss him. We became friends many years ago & although we both moved remain close today. Claude was a man that loved all things in life very easy to please. We shared many cups of coffee and was always there for me. I am not going to say goodbye because i know we will be together again and I know you cannot wait!!

The world has lost one the greatest and toughest men I know. While we all know that the day will come for each of us to say our final goodbye, it always seems that time is all to short and we can only hope to have lived our lives to the fullest, which I believe you have. Memories flood our heads in remembrance of your presence keeping you with us in our hearts and minds. From my first crew cuts to the sound of Law and Order starting up; from puddin’ pops to crème sodas; to finding my love for hot sausage in the famous red beans and rice and working outdoors with you during our summer breaks. I’ve faced some of my toughest fears with how I saw you carry yourself. One of my fondest memories was following you to your gold fish pond to help clean or feed the fish and seeing you stung by a bee. I was mind blown when the only reaction I saw and heard from you in a low grumble was “ow”. I remember thinking, “what? no yelling, no screaming, just “ow”?! Then you moved on and proceeded to help me into the fish pond to clean and feed the fish with zero fear or concern for the bee stinging you again. It was amazing. So I followed you in your footsteps trying to be just as brave. We fear things in life and we do our best to face our fears; however, if we can’t overcome those fears then the only other option is we must do it scared, with courage and bravery because someone has to do it. I saw that in you that day and it still motivates me today. There’s no doubt your toughness and character has been and will continue to be passed down from generation to generation. Pawpaw, you will be forever missed!
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Words can’t describe how much I already miss you Pawpaw. I will always wish that there were more time I could spend with you, but in the years we had know that You were the best grandfather any grandchild could ever ask for. From the very first oyster you cracked open for me (three for you, one for me, and one for the frying bucket), to the first time I learned how to whistle and I drove you crazy because I wouldn’t be silent. I remember, you would chase me down every time I’d start with that piercing tune, and kiss my cheeks until I stopped and of course I’d wipe every kiss off and say grosssss Pawpaw! Now every time I eat an oyster or whistle I smile and think of you. You will forever be in my Heart and memories. I love you and Memaw so much! Heaven is so lucky to have you!
