Funeral services for Clarence G. Cooper, Jr., 81 of West Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Ridge Avenue Baptist Church. Rev. David Brown and Rev. Robin Roark will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Clarence was born August 17, 1931 in Monroe, LA and passed away October 24, 2012 in West Monroe. He was a member of Ridge Avenue Baptist Church. Clarence was a self-employed Real Estate Appraiser and a member of NE LA Board of Realtors. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Clemmie Cooper and a sister, Helen Cooper Yates. Clarence is survived by his wife Naomi Jean Cooper; daughters; Sharon Parks and husband Dannye, Kathy Hammett and husband Tim; granddaughters; Shea Albritton and husband Scott, Megan Hammett and Whitney Hammett; grandson, John Parks and wife Dr. Adrienne Williams, Brandon Parks and wife Heather ; great-grandsons, Spencer Evans and Joe Cooper Parks; great-granddaughters; Danielle Parks, Savannah Albritton and Emma Albritton. Pallbearers will be Scott Albritton, John Parks, Brandon Parks, Spencer Evans, Sam Hammett and Buddy Bennett. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Tucker, Roy Scalia, Charlie Brown, James “Sonny” Bennett and members of Sanson Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Memorials may be to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, his two charities of choice. Papa loved God first and his family second. The lessons he taught us and the love he shared will be with us forever.
