Funeral services for Christine Dick will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Dr. Michael Hawley. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.Mrs. Dick was born June 27, 1928 in Mangham, Louisiana and passed away January 10, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband Amos Dick. She was also preceded in death by her parents Howard and Fannie Kline; 2 brothers: Leonard and Martin Kline; 2 sisters: Alice Banister and Hattie Leary.Christine was a lifetime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ruston where she served on several committees including; Tape Ministry, Church Renovation Committee, meals for those in need and Financial Committee.Mrs. Dick worked at Ruston State Bank for 30 years, retiring in 1990. She served as a teller and was an officer of the bank when she retired. She loved her job and loved helping customers.Mrs. Dick enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, cooking, traveling, reading, fishing and spending time at her camp on the lake.She loved her family and was a very giving person. She doted on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. When her 2 sisters needed her she was their main caregiver. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.She is survived by her daughter: Linda Carroll and son-in-law Charles Carroll of Winnfield, LA; daughter: Brenda Theodos and son-in-law Pete Theodos of Ruston, LA; son: Dean Dick and daughter-in-law: Linda Dick of Ruston, LA; grandsons: Michael Theodos and wife Tina of Bossier City, LA, Scott Carroll of Washington, DC, Ryan Dick and wife Angie of Slidell, LA, Jason Carroll of San Francisco, California, and Matt Carroll and Lenzie of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughters: Kerri Gray of Ruston, LA and Jennifer Price and husband Marcus of Monroe, LA; great grandchildren: Andrew Theodos, Delaney Dick, Sophia Dick, Ava Price, Cohen Gray, Blaine Theodos, Mattie Dick, Jacob Dick and Hannah Price; and numerous nieces and nephew and especially : Tuger Kline whom she was very close to and loved her dearly.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and St. Jude. Pallbearers will be Michael Theodos, Scott Carroll, Ryan Dick, Jason Carroll, Matt Carroll and Andrew Theodos.Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ruston.The family would like to extend a special thanks to The Arbor Assisted Living Facility, Northern Louisiana Medical Center ICU, Life Care of Ruston and Willow Ridge Nursing and Rehab.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com

Linda and family - I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know that losing your Mother is very hard but just remember, she IS always with you. Linda and Charles Carroll - Sorry to hear about your mother passing. I knew her from my banking days in Monroe, LA and also from friends in Ruston, LA. We will have you and your familiy in our prayers during this hard time. I have been there before and know what you may be going through. Again sorry for your lost.

We are so sad to hear of the passing of Chris. We know she is in a better place. We wanted to be there with you today but Rodney is out of town and I am with Rodney's sister who had surgery yesterday. Our sympathies are with you.

We grew up together, moved to Monroe La together where she met Dick.Her Dad owned a pickup truck when we were in high school andnthat was our mode of transportation.I was always so impressed at her ability to driven that truck

To the family of Christine Dick, I worked with your mother at Ruston State Bank for several years. She taught me everything I know about banking and the correct way to handle many situations. She was a blessing in my life. I considered her a friend. I know she will be greatly missed.. Love and prayers to all..

Linda, Brenda, and DeanI always thought that your mother was so pretty. She was always nice to me when I was at your house and I know how much you will miss her. She is definitely in a better place now.
