Barry, Donny, Peggy, Tina, and Families:My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to all of you in the loss of Mrs. Christene. She was a wonderful, thoughtful, Godly Lady who will be missed but never forgotten. While growing up with you in Bernice, LA in the 1950s and 1960s, I have many fond memories of visits in your home with you and your great parents, Christene and Wilbur! Those memories I will always cherish because Christene and Wilbur made those times for us kids great experiences! Please know that I care, share in your loss, and extend to you my sincere sympathy.

Barry, Gay, Peggy, Danny, my sweet DeeDee, Dr. Bailey and family,My words are woefully inadequate to express what an impact Mrs. Christine made on my life. She will always hold a special place in my heart as she stood by me during a very difficult time in my life, covering me and my family in prayer, love and encouragement. I thank God for allowing me the privilege of having her as my friend and to experience a taste of His love expressed through her well-lived life and our friendship. May God comfort each of you in your loss but what a joy to know that she is truly present with our Lord and fully healed. I love you all and will hold your family up in prayer in the coming days. What a blessing she has been to so many people in so many places. Sincerely, Marilyn Averitt

Barry and Tina and families, Bob and I want to express our sympathy to you at this sad time. We never knew your parents, but we know two of the children they raised. It is obvious that you had wonderful Christian parents and I know you were a blessing to them. From reading the obituary, I can tell that your mother lived a full life serving God and that now she has joined your father in heaven. We pray for peace and comfort in the days ahead. May those precious memories of Godly parents bring you much joy. Sincerely Bob and Jane

Shortly before Barbara's passing in June of 2012, she and I were reminiscing about our child hood about how challenging but rewarding life was even to a preschooler. Barbara remembered how Mrs. Bailey would stop and visit our mother as she was on her way to or from the Gray's house. Small gestures can have a profound effect on the recipient and never be known by the one who gave it but never forgotten by the receiver..
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

When Ms. Christene Bailey prayed I always felt like everyone in the room was sitting at the foot of Jesus. She will be missed dearly. I know she is celebrating in heaven with Mr. Wilbur.
