Visitation will be on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.Mrs. Johnson was born March 20, 1933 in Sikes, LA and passed away after a lengthy illness on July 28, 2015 in Monroe, LA. She was a member of Jackson Street Church of Christ and was instrumental in leading The Young Hearts at Jackson Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Johnson was very talented in oil painting, flower arranging, quilting, and gardening. She was retired from Howard Brothers and Wal-Mart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Roy Johnson and her parents, Hardy and Willie Crain Broom.Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons, Elmo Tarver and wife Faith, David Johnson and wife Jeanne and Roy Johnson and wife Barbara; brothers, Hardy Broom, Jr., Bobby Broom, and Leroy Broom; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Nathan Johnson, Jess Johnson, Adam Johnson, Duke Johnson, Kris Edgell, and Ms. Amber Sumrall.
