Funeral services for Cheryl Ann Bowen Smith Lawson, of Sterlington will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 20, 2018 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville, LA. Rev. Warren Eckhart will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Liberty Linville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville.Cheryl was born October 11, 1958 in Monroe, LA and passed away October 18, 2018 in West Monroe, LA. Cheryl was a hairstylist for nearly 30 years at Russell Hairstyling. She was very talented at painting ceramics, and enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casinos and watching westerns. Cheryl was the most selfless, loving, compassionate earth angel to all she knew. She was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church. Cheryl was preceded in death by her dad, Jimmy Dale Bowen.Cheryl is survived by twin daughters; April Smith and Amy Smith; grandchildren, Larke Binford and husband Christin, Evan McPherson and wife Jennifer, and Luke Johnstone; 2 great-grandchildren, Major Binford and Jensen McPherson; mother, Billie Nell Bowen; sister, Dee Pearson and her son, Denton, and brother, Ed Bunol and wife JDon and their son, Brandon.Pallbearers will be Christin Binford, Luke Johnstone, Evan McPherson, Denton Pearson, Christopher Hamilton and Thomas King.Special thanks to all doctors and care giving staff at Glenwood Regional Medical Center for the care they provided to her for the past year.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.comKilpatrick Funeral HomeFarmerville, LA

Mama, I love you so much and miss you so much already. I thank God that he blessed me with you as my Mother. April and I and all my babies were your life. You were the best Mama and Mimi we could have been blessed with. As much as this has torn me up inside I know you are whole again and well now and are not in pain and tired of being sick anymore. You are with our Lord and Savior and there is nothing better than that. I am broken and this will be hard on me for a long time but I will see you again and can't wait for that day. We were deeply saddened by the news of Cheryl's passing. She was a very dear sweet friend to our whole family (cut our hair for 23 years). We shared a lot through the years and she always had such a sweet smile on her face every time we saw her. Our hearts and prayers go out to all the family.
