It is so sad to see so many of our classmates from Ouachita Parish High School leave us. I had many happy memories of C.B. in high school. That was a very lovely time. He was always so cheerful and raised the spirits of all of us fell0w students. I remember him so clearly, most especially hanging out with many of his friends, among them Danny Christman who left us long ago. I know that all of his family will miss him sorely. He was a really special person.

Dear Lynn and Britt, We loved your mom and dad throughout our years of friendship at FBC. Your dad was a very likable man and had a great sense of humor too. Loved to see him with that big smile on his face. We also always admired his love and devotion for Edwina. We are never really ready to let our loved ones go but we are praying for that peace for you that passes all understanding in the days ahead. With deepest sympathy, The Adairs

I was blessed to meet Chuck and Edwina on several occasions which were always associated with fun and a good time. Especially memorable are the time at the NC beach [no Britt I did not frighten your mom with an "explosion"!] and a time at night on the back deck in Apex w Chuck and you [Britt]. Britt and Lynne I hope you and your families find peace in his passing. Love to you all. TWP

Condolences to the family. Sorry couldn’t be there. Charlie is back in his car running circles around the pearly gates singing here I am lord. For the survivors life will go on leaving a big empty hole but the great memories will live on in and through all of us. RIP Uncle and may the afterlife be as gracious and glorified as your life on earth.

Mr. Welch was such a wonderful man. He had a huge heart and was one of the few men I knew to never shy away from being affectionate with others. He would always give you a warm hug or a peck on the cheek or would gasp your hand tightly when expressing his feelings. He had a beautifully contagious laugh, and a loving soul and I am so grateful to have know him. Rest in peace Charlie Bart

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Welch was such a good man and will be greatly missed by many. He was very kind and generous. He always made sure I had a chocolate fix when I saw him at Stoney Brook, as well as the other caregivers. And after he first saw my little grandson, he would tell me he also had red hair. He would occasionally ask me about my little red head, and tell his friends around the home about him. He had a love for Mrs. Welch like every woman dreams of. And a great love for his family, and the Lord. I have missed your family since I had to move away, and have thought of you all very often. You are all definitely in my thoughts and prayers❤️

Some of the best memories of my life include Thanksgiving and Christmas time at Memaw's and Granddaddy's House. The whole family would be there. If I close my eyes, I can hear Uncle Charles telling a story, over the sound of the electric knife as he would carve the turkey, followed by robust laughter of everyone in the room. You will be loved and missed by every life you have touched. May God Bless you Uncle Charles.

Dear Lynne, Britt and family, So many memories I will hold dear of dad. He and I have had many talks in my office, some serious and some just for fun. We always had a mutual respect for one another. My husband enjoyed the many talks he and Charlie B had as well. He will be missed by his Stoney Brook family.
