Funeral Services for Charles Milton Martin, 79, of West Monroe, LA will be held Monday, October 31, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe with Bro. Trey Oldham and Kenny Galyean officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery on Hwy 80 Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Charles was born December 29, 1942, to Harry and Lucille Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Eugene Martin and Louise Martin; in-laws, Charles and Lois Glover, Charles Gene Glover, Joan Boutwell (Bill), Betty Hough and Aubrey Glover (Verdell).
Charles will be dearly missed by his survivors, his loving wife of 62 years, Evie Glover Martin; children Tony (Kathy) Martin, Sherry (Gary) Carver and Paula (John) Trisler all of West Monroe, LA. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Betty Doughty (Tommy), James Martin (Dixie), Ruth Crawford (Pat), and in-laws Bobby McKoin, Edna Glover and C.L. Hough. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one on the way. Also left to cherish his memory are numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons.
The family wishes to express much appreciation for Allegiance Hospice Care. Charles and his family received great love and care over the past five months. A special thanks to his nurse Kim Roberson, caregivers Michelle Boyd and Otis Griffin.
Charles loved his church that he was a member of for 58 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the men’s ministry or children’s ministry at North Crossings Church, 6701 Hwy 165, Monroe, LA.
