May your family find comfort as “the hearer of prayer” embraces their heart (Psalms 94:19). Lean on one another for strength and encouragement to stay strong during this most difficult time.

Major Kelley was a class act and everyone he met walked away knowing that they just met a Southern Gentleman. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Kelley family. They will ALL remain very special to me.

Being George McGee’s daughter - I was raised up coming to MaGee’s house and being able to eat good food - laughing at Uncle Hugh tell jokes and playing on his guitar. I remember when Aunt Tuddy and Uncle Kelly moved back to Bernice. It made MaGee really happy for them to be back home. I know Heaven is a great place and all the family members that went on before him are still playing the guitar and laughing and enjoying life. This time - it’s real life they are enjoying.

A "Friend" to all that he met! People may remember some of your accomplishments, but they will always remember how you made them feel...and Major Kelly made everyone feel like they were the most important person he knew! And in truth, he was the most important person most of us knew! A Patriot that proudly served his Country, then just as proudly, served his Community and unselfishly, served his family with abounding love. So honored to have known this Gentleman!

Prayers that God will give you peace. Major was a great father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Remember all the great moments you had with him and how much his family meant to him. Know you will carry him in your hearts until you meet again. He is definitely in a better place and resting now like he couldn’t here on earth.
