Charles loved his family, and my earliest memory of Charles is with his sisters and brother. It was a nightime car ride, sometime in the early 1950s, and Charles was driving us back to Goldonna from Gaars Mill. The car was loaded with me and the Frazier kids -- Charles the chauffeur, the beautiful Ann, sweet sweet Faye, Pat chattering so full of ideas, my good buddy Bill. And Charles was entertaining us all, maybe driving a little too fast, but no more speed than necessary to make our stomachs float each time we topped a hill. Charles would warn us of each approaching hill, and over we'd go, hooting and hollering, filling the car with laughter. What a jolly, fun time it always was being with them, that loving bunch--the kids of Aunt Ila and Uncle Willie. And love grew for Charles when he added the beautiful Shirley to his family, and Karen and Wayne, and Terri and the grandbaby girls. Charles loved them all, he was a good and loving man. And my mama, his Aunt Nola, always said he was "a mighty smart fellow."

I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Charlie has passed. He was so nice to me when I worked at Troy and Nichols. He always reminded me of a sweet grandfather. You, Terri and the girls are in my prayers.
