Chuck, may you have a lovely rest in peace. I know you suffered alot towards the end and I am relieved that you suffer no longer. Twenty seven years you were with my dear sweet sister Keata, although some of those years were a little difficult I do know how so very much you loved her and she loved you. On several of my visits to you I assured you that I would take care of Keata and I promise you that I always will. She really misses you Chuck, but I will help her through this. My only wish is that if Leo, should ever pull ill on me I hope I can do all that Keata, did for you....... Your babys Teddy, Inky, Shitzu and Ziggy and Keata want, wait and hope that you will still come home~~~~ Please help me convince them that your ok up there...... Love ya Chuck... Keata's baby sister Lolly and my entire family....

Just heard about the passing of our classmate from Natchitoches High School (1963). So sorry that we did not know about it earlier. He was a wonderful athlete and very well-liked by everyone. His name was mentioned many times during our 50th high school reunion last April. We all had such good memories of Charles. Keata had told me on the phone that he was in the nursing home at that time and was unable to attend. We were hoping that he would recuperate and be able to visit with us when we meet in June. (I had tried to call the number to tell him about the meeting and now I know why I didn't get an answer.) We will be lifting up the family in our prayers. Please know that we considered him to be a very special friend!

Uncle Charles was always a lot of fun for us kids when we went to grandma's house every Sunday He was the youngest uncle still living at grandmas house. He was always in the little shed working on something. Always tinkering around building something.. We would swing on the tire swing that he hung from the tree in the field at grandmas.. Playing kick the can and hide n go seek in Grandpas garden was always scary but fun and Uncle CD (that was what we called him as children) was out there having fun with us.There are so many wonderful childhood memories I have of my Uncle Charles.II loved him very much and will miss. him. We always enjoyed visiting with Charles and Keata during our trips to visit my parents (Harold & Beeta) in Natchitoches. I remember one time when Charles was a young man and came to Shreveport to visit our family. He had to sleep in the lower bunk bed in my brother's room and he woke up in the middle of the night and sat up and banged his head on the upper bunk. He yelled so loud it woke up the entire house! The next day he had a bruised head and we all got a good laugh! God Bless you Uncle Charles! Love and prayers to all the family
