Funeral services for Celie Guice Whitehead, 76, of Point, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Providence Baptist Church in Point. Brother Greg Dunn and Brother Louis Bartet will officiate. Interment will follow at Acree Cemetery in Point under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Monday, March 10, 2025 at the church.
Celie was born on December 16, 1948 in Monroe and passed away on March 7, 2025 in Point. She was a longtime member of Providence Baptist Church and also attended Piney Woods Christian Church. Celie owned and operated a day care for 50 years and touched many lives through those years. Her favorite pastimes were playing Bunco, cards, and cheering with her signature chant, “Go Baby Go” for her family and friends at the rodeos, barrel runs and ball games. Celie was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Whitehead; and parents, Sanders Parrish and Elmarie Carter Guice.
Celie is survived by her sons, Rory Whitehead of Point, Louisiana, Timmy Whitehead and wife Kim of Point, Louisiana, Chad Whitehead and wife Marti of Jonesboro, Arkansas; grandchildren, Taylor Noel and husband Ty, Morgan Whitehead and fiancé Peyton, Cierra Meador and husband Dakota, Ethan Whitehead and wife Faith, Selby Whitehead, Carter Whitehead, Carson Whitehead; great-granddaughters, Selah Noel and Chloe Meador; brother, Travis Guice; sister, Sheryl Bearden and husband Steve; niece, Brooke Anderson and family, Casey, Adler and Ellie Ann; LaRonica Whitehand and daughter, Tori; special friends, Kim Higdon and her daughters, Heather Watkins, Kaci Littleton, MaKayla Littleton and their children; and many more nieces, nephews and other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Steve Bearden, Peyton Knowles, Charles Simpson, Michael Wallace, Dakota Meador, and Ethan Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Bruce, Michael Gates, Carter Whitehead, Shane Chretien, Larry Pardue, and Harold Ray.
