Funeral services for Carrie Sue Gulett will be held Monday, April 9, 2018 at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Her step grandson, Rev. John Marin will preside over her funeral, assisted by her nephew Steven Rex Taylor. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Long Straw Cemetery, Choudrant, LA.Carrie Sue Gulett passed away at her home in Mansfield, Louisiana April 3rd 2018.She was born November 1, 1934 in Ouachita Parish. She was the youngest child of Horace Hiram Hobbs and Carrie Nancy (Burnett) Hobbs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Raymond Gulett in 1981, and by five sisters and a brother. She is survived by three sons, Michael Gulett and wife Rebecca of Carmel, California, Kenneth Marvin Gulett and wife Ana of Duncanville, Texas, and Morris Gulett of Mansfield, Louisiana. She is survived by a whole host of nieces and nephews that she loved and adored. She is also survived by her loving pets: her dog, Cooper and two cats Fresca and Rachel.Carrie wanted special mention of two nieces, Bernadette Jones and Donna LaRue Sandifer and nephew Joe Johnson, who were always there to lend support whenever needed. She retired from the Dayton Public Schools/Board of Education payroll department, in Dayton, Ohio in 1999.Carrie and her deceased husband Raymond were Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron of Coni Ami Chapter Order of Eastern Star, in Dayton, Ohio which has since merged with Dayton Victory Chapter.
