Memorial services for Carol Louise Knop will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 1, 2022 at First Baptist Church West Monroe Worship Center. Officiating will be Chaplain Ricky Baker assisted by Carol’s grandson, John Nugent under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until service time.
Carol was born January 19, 1933 in Bucyrus, Kansas and passed away April 28, 2022 in Monroe, LA. She was a legal secretary for a law firm in Lafayette, LA and worked for Deposit Guaranty National Bank for 13 years in Jackson, MS. Carol was a member of First Baptist Church West Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorin and Rachel Cottrell Spencer and a son, Michael Lewis Knop.
Carol is survived by her husband of 68 years, Arthur Lewis Knop; children; Vickie Denise Nugent (David), Linda Lea Stephens (John), Kent Alan Knop (Cathy) and Karen Gail Roland (Timothy); daughter-in-law, Diana Knop; sister, Dorothy Showalter (Bob); 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
