Carol Ann Hill Nyegaard, 79, was born on November 23, 1944 in Linville, Louisiana and passed away on June 30, 2024 at her home in Farmerville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Salem Baptist Church from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will take place immediately following at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Mike Devillier officiating. Interment will take place at Liberty Cemetery in Linville, Louisiana under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Farmerville.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles M. Nyegaard; parents, John Lawson Hill and Lillian Ella Beasley Hill; and brothers, Billy Hill and Johnny Hill.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cheri Holbrook (Tom), Christi Hamilton (Craig), and Brian Nyegaard (Michelle); grandchildren, Kamerin Gibson (Matt), Tristan McKinley, Jack Holbrook, Charlie Holbrook, and Mason Nyegaard; siblings, Linda Hanson, Tommy Hill, Randy Hill, and Pam Hill; sisters-in-law, Ann Soderberg, Alice Williamson (Charles); brother-in-law, Frederick Nyegaard; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Carol retired from LSU Ag Center in Farmerville and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She loved to be with her family, cook for her family, taking care of her grandchildren, working in her flower beds, camping, and hiking.

Pallbearers will be Tom Holbrook, Craig Hamilton, Brian Nyegaard, Tristan McKinley, Kevin Hanson, and Charlie Holbrook. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Holbrook, Mason Nyegaard, Scott Brantley, and Kenny Tucker.

The family would like to thank her caregiver, Tiffany Wines; and Allegiance Hospice team, Sonya Gray and Michelle Boyd.
