I met Carla during my post graduate days at NLU (now ULM). I was her student worker in the financial aid office. When she retired and begin working for Dr. Warren J. Stassi, I worked side by side with her in the front office. We would often shop together and people who look at us strange. Well you know Carla. She would tell them she was my momma. Throughout the years, we remained friends and during the time of my loss (my husband's death) she was there for me. That's Carla. I am going to miss her but because of her, I am who I am. Love Paris and I will be in touch.
We met at the University and I am a better person for having known Mrs. Carla. Rest Well good and faithful servant. You will be missed and I hope to join you in that dance line one day. love, Patsy
Carla Beth was "CBS" was to me. I first met her my freshman year at NLU (ULM). My on campus job was in the Film Library. We quickly bonded and soon CBS became my first "second Mother". CBS influenced all of her student workers. After my graduation, we remained
I have been trying to decide what I wanted to say about such a spectacular lady
I met Carla here @ Moore Health & Fitness. She took my class for about ten years. She was the most thoughtful person, too. Because she would always put my bench for step class. She loved cats. We would discuss our feline pets whenever we were together. On holidays, she would dress up for the day. She would take aerobics in her Witch outfieit -- with the long nose, tall black hat, and black witch outfit. She would come by to see me all the time here at the club -- even when she was not a member. Every year on my birthday, she would bake me a cake to celebrate. She would also bake herself one on her birthday -- and bring it to the club to share with her aerobic class. She wanted us to sing Happy Birthday to her. Carla was very active in her ladies dance group. I know she really enjoyed. it. She lived life to the fullest. She was the most delightful, sweet person I have ever known. I told her she was like a second Mom to me. I am very sorry to hear of her death. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. My God give you (Paris and your wife) that peace and comfort that only HE can. I know you were a comfort to her when you and your wife stayed with her. She really enjoyed you being near.I will keep you all in my prayersLorraine McKinnie

Carla was always up for a good time, and we had some very good ones all together. Blessings on all who loved her
I have known Tootie all of my life. As a child, I lived next door to her parents, so they were like extended family. I visited with them and Tootie every day, especially for coffee time. (I was around 5 at the time.) Tootie was a very talented lady. She was an artist, among her other talents. She could always make me laugh. She will be missed, but she is in a better place now and we will see her again.
My deepest condolences Paris to you and your family.
Eternal grace for you, Carla
