Funeral services for Carl Calhoun, age 48, of Farmerville, will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Bro. Connie Smith and Paul Smith will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA. Carl was born September 25, 1964 in Monroe, LA and died January 5, 2013 in Alexandria, LA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and most of all spending time with his family. Carl was employed as a supervisor for Redd Pest Control. He is survived by his wife Nancy Calhoun of Farmerville, LA; children, Michael Christopher Calhoun and wife Kathy of Dubach, LA; Katie Elizabeth Rogers and husband Heath of Farmerville, LA; Amanda Sue Calhoun of Farmerville, LA; parents, John Calvin and Sue Calhoun of Dubach; sister, Carol Harrison and husband Troy of Dubach, LA; grandchildren, Coda Mitchell Butler, Madelyn Grace Calhoun, Brayden Jarvis Rogers; niece, Ashleigh Harrison; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Pallbearers are David Calhoun, Phillip Campbell, Robert Tietje, Chris Gray, Scott Revels, Phil Soileau, Jr. Green, and Joe Jeffers. Visitation will be 5:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M. mr carl was one of the sweetest men i knew.

Dear Mrs. Calhoun and family, I was saddened to hear of Carls death. Scott Revel called this pm to schedule a time to service my home and I asked about Carl and he informed me of his death. He was always so kind and courteous. I will miss talking to him. You will be in my prayers and thoughts. Sincerely, Linda Moyers

So sorry to hear of the loss of Carl. This is a loss for all of us that knew him. He was one of the few kind good souls.

I'm so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. I have not seen him since we were all kids in Fellowship..but I know he grew to become a man blessed with a beautiful family. My heart goes out to you all. Time will not heal all wounds, but it will dull the pain until it is bearable.

I am so sorry to hear about Carl. The 1 thing I remember about him is his smile. My thoughts are with all of his family. God Bless All of You.

Carl sprayed our house once a month. He knew where the key was and would let himself in. Since I have been ill I would tell him to come on in. We aren't very trustworthy, but I knew Carl was a good soul from the 1st time he came. We would catch up with family news while he sprayed. I sent some of my crocheted lap robes and pillows to his sick and ill family and friends. He was so grateful and loved the idea of keeping them comfortable in their time of need. I am so sorry for the loss of your Carl and our Carl. He sure will be missed here! God wanted another good one. He needed the rest. He was never here for very long and sometimes the only face I'd seen in a while. I will miss our short and informative conversations. He was so excited about the new grand baby and house purchase. I'm sorry he couldn't enjoy them longer. He was a great man and friend. I had put out prayers for his family when they were all sick at thanksgiving and I am so sad to do that again. He was truly a genuinely nice guy.

We were so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of Carl. He had serviced our home for many years and was always very pleasant and reliable. We will miss him and pray for you during this time.

To the Calhoun family, we are sorry for your loss. Mr. Calhoun was always pleasant and eager to please those he served. His hunting and fishing stories, along with his great service to us, will be missed by those of us who knew him. May God bless you all.

Im sorry im not there, cousin. I love you and will miss you always. You were always smiling and were one of the kindest people i have had the honor of being related to. Cant wait to see you again in heaven. We love all your family and we will always be there for them. I pray you know how much you will be missed. Again, i love you!
