Funeral services for Buddy Hays, 67, of Eros will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Frantom Chapel Church with Bro. John Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Downsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church.

Buddy was born December 6, 1953 in Natchitoches, LA and passed away July 7, 2021. He was a self-employed electrician and farmer. Buddy was a member of Frantom Chapel Church and The Butte Tribe of Bayou Bourbeaux. He was preceded in death by his father Otis “Skeeter” Barnett; son Stoney Lynn Hays; sisters Judy Ann Frederick and Connie Sue Hays; granddaughter Charlee Elyse Hays.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Theresa E. Hays; mother, Hazel Barnett; son, Clint Hays (Jessica); daughters, Trina Carr (James) and Jody Wolfe (Ronnie); brother, Donnie Hays (Kathy); sisters, Bonnie Wolfe (Ronnie) and Norma Scallion (Tony); host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Robert Frederick, Allen Frederick, Ryan Frederick, Rodger Collum, Dallas Desadier and Ricky Desadier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Johnson, James Wilson and Bradley Sullivan.
