Brenda was born on September 15, 1948 in Haynesville, Louisiana and passed away on June 22, 2025 in West Monroe with her daughter by her side. Beginning as a young teenager, Brenda was a dedicated Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years. She loved her classes of 7 and 8 yr olds and was extremely creative at teaching. Student participation was a must but after “climbing into a cave of lions” to hear Daniel in the den of lions from the lions point of view, there were no complaints. She did not just tell a story, she took anyone who would listen on a journey.
Brenda did the same for her own daughter. Every story was a performance of far away lands and dreams that always came true. Even with a limited budget, Brenda and her husband, Jimmie, made as many dreams for their daughter come true, but the main thing they did was teach her about Jesus.
Brenda, who never met a stranger, was a loving and loyal friend to everyone she met but there were a few very special friends that she always held dear. Her first and dearest friend was her younger sister, Beverly, and it remained that way until Sunday, June 22, 2025.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie David Myers; and parents, Bonnie and Jerry Boliew.
Brenda is survived by her daughter, Goldie Myers; sister, Beverly McManus and husband Randy; her niece and nephew; along with other cherished family and friends.
Brenda had an extended family that she loved with all her heart. She is now awaiting our arrival in eternity in her new home in glory.
Honoring Brenda serving as pallbearers are Quincy McManus, Darren Guess, Burl Masters, Jesse Masters, Carter Saterfiel and Jeremy Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Grady Kight and Gary Loftus.
