Funeral services for Bradley Peter Armintor, Jr., 78, of Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1901 Lexington Avenue, Monroe, LA. Dr. Tim Neustifter and Dr. Warren Blakeman will be officiating. Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monday, November 4, 2013, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Interment to follow at Centuries Memorial, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe, LA. Brad was born on December 31, 1934 in Shreveport, LA, and passed away early in the morning of October 31, 2013 in Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bradley Peter Armintor, Sr., and Nora Frealy Armintor along with one son, Bradley Peter Armintor, III. Brad is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann Davis Armintor of Monroe; son, Brett Davis Armintor of Monroe; sister, Marie Armintor Barber and husband, Percy Barber, of Shreveport and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. After an education at Byrd High School and Centenary College in Shreveport, LA, Brad served on board the USS Forrestal in the U.S. Navy. Upon completion of his service, Brad accepted a position at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport as a Purchasing Agent. He then moved on to a position as a Regional Pharmaceutical Representative with Breon Laboratories in Shreveport, where he remained until 1966. He then accepted an offer to serve as a regional pharmaceutical salesman for Bristol Myers-Squibb in Monroe, LA, later assuming the responsibilities of Territory Manager. Throughout his life, Brad was a devoted Christian and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church until his death, as well as a member of The Grand Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Louisiana. Upon his retirement from Bristol Myers-Squibb for health reasons, he remained an active member of the church and the community. Brad was known for his deep love for his family, friends, and people in general. He was known for his enthusiastic support for Neville and River Oaks High Schools, his deep devotion to the LSU tigers, and his unflagging optimism about his beloved New Orleans Saints. He was devoted to his wife, his sons, and his family, which remained the most important things in his life, and for whom his love was boundless. He was always ready with a joke and a smile for everyone, and the friendships he made lasted for a lifetime. Brad will always be remembered by those who love him as a man who cheerfully greeted all who came to his door, ready to entertain and to give all that he had to make those with whom he came into contact at ease. He was eager to help out those who needed a helping hand, and all who entered his house will remember the long hours of friendly conversation and humor that made each visit so enjoyable. No one, whether there for a visit or hired to perform a job of some sort, ever left his house feeling worse than when they arrived. It will always be a testament to his character that even those who knew him only briefly have expressed great love, respect, and administration for this beautiful, wonderful man. Pallbearers will be Percy Barber, Ken Hays, Howard Collins and Dr. Art Yarbrough. The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the physicians and staff of St. Francis Hospital, as well as all of their friends and family for their love, care, and support during the course of his illness.
