Bonnie Eldon McKinnie, born July 28, 1916, passed from this life on November 14, 2012 in Linville, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty four years, Helen Russell McKinnie; parents Willie B. and Ethel Reppond McKinnie and siblings Arvis McKinnie, Isola McKinnie Pate, Mozelle McKinnie Cobb, Byram McKinnie and William P. McKinnie. He is survived by his children, Marilyn McKinnie Binford and her husband Rodney, Shirley McKinnie Spearman, Gary McKinnie and his wife Faye, and Larry McKinnie and his wife Lorraine. He has eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He retired from the timber business and was an avid wood-worker, cattleman, and farmer. He was respected by all in the community and was known to make the best boat paddles in the area. Pallbearers are Mark Goudeau, Evan Goudeau, Benjamin McKinnie, Matthew Spearman, Brennan Pfeiffer and Lanny Parker. Honorary pallbearers are Jason McKinnie, Glenn Ham and Johnny B. Ferguson. Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15th and the funeral will be held at Liberty Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. November 16th with Brother Larry White officiating, Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in Linville.
