Bobby L. Hayden, Sr., 82 of Eros, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend went to be with his heavenly father in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 10, 2016. Bobby spent most of his adult life working as a Boilermaker and then as owner of Monroe Canvas and Awning Co. Before age began to creep up on him, Bobby was an avid Crappie fisherman and loved doing anything outdoors. He followed his father into Freemasonry and was raised a Master Mason on March 11, 1967 and went on to serve as Master of Eros Lodge #295, a member of Scottish Rite, OES and presently West Monroe Lodge #419.Bobby was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Mildred Hayden; brothers, Aubrey, Glen Doyle, Milton, Preston and Carl; sister, Edwina Jarrell; son, Herschel and grandson, Timothy.Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, DeWanna; sons, Bobby, Jr. and wife, Rhonda, Aubrey, Mike and Fianc© Tina; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren with one on the way and also numerous beloved nieces and nephews.Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Rev. Stewart Sherman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, LA.Serving as pallbearers: Bob Hayden, Josh Hayden, Chad Garner, Marlon Jarrell, Marshall Coates and Marcus Coates.
