Funeral services for Bobby Bob F. Grubb, 74, of Ruston, Louisiana will be at 2:00pm on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Cook Baptist Church in Ruston, Louisiana with Bro, Mike Holloway officiating. Graveside services will follow at Pines Memorial Cemetery in Ruston, Louisiana, Mr. Grubb passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 following a lengthy illness, Mr. Grubb served 5 years in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana. He retired in 2000 from Haynes International in Arcadia. He was an active member and usher at Cook Baptist Church, Bob was a loving husband, father, papaw, and friend to many in the community. He enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Edna Wright Grubb and one sister Christine Arnhart. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 51 years Liz Grubb. One son Shane Grubb and wife Callie of Ruston, LA Two daughters Tammy Crutchfield of Ruston, LA and Michelle Long and husband David of Ruston, LA Six brothers Leroy Grubb of Roanoke, VA; Tom Grubb of Galax, VA; L.D. Grubb of Roanoke, VA; Curtis Grubb of Galax, VA; Norman Grubb of Marksville, NC; and Bayne Grubb of Woodbridge, VA. One sister Carol Krejci of Woodlawn, VA, Four grandchildren Bridget Crutchfield, Kelsey Crutchfield, Andrea Long, and Harrison Long, one great grandchild Makinley Crutchfield and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives, Pallbearers are Hubert Estes, Brian Estes, Lynn Walker, Jimmy Hammons, Rhea DeOliviera, Richard Jones, Tim Whittington, and Allen Sandifer. Visitation is 5-7 PM Thursday June 14, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, Louisiana, In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cook Baptist Church building fund or the Kidney Foundation of Louisiana.
