Funeral services for Bobbie Price Hodge will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 26, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Ernest Twiner officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Bobbie was born on July 15, 1950 in Shreveport, La to the union of Naomi Upshaw Price and L.C. Price. She was promoted to glory on May 22, 2022. In 1968, Bobbie wed the love of her life, Olan Hodge, and to that holy union was born three boys of whom she loved and was very proud. Bobbie was baptized with fire at an early age, and she had a heart for God. She had a servant’s heart, and she was loving and generous to those around her.
Bobbie was a veracious reader of Christian books, and she enjoyed listening to gospel hymns. She kept her Bible by her side when it wasn’t in her hands. Bobbie was also fond of nature, evidenced by her many flowers and her love for hummingbirds and butterflies. Her greatest achievement was to leave a legacy of her love for God and her family. Bobbie was a member of Eros United Pentecostal Church, and she was retired from CenturyLink.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Shelby, Dirky, and Ricky. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 53 years, Olan Ray Hodge. Bobbie was the loving mother of her sons Matt and wife Kim, Chris and wife Darlene, and Craig and wife Michele. Also left to cherish her memory are her sister Shirley Daley and husband Al, brother Michael Price and wife Mary Jane, and sister-in-law Jerri Price. Bobbie was the cherished grandmother of Amber, Ashleigh, M.J., Caitlyn, Ethan and wife Anne, Naomi, Kirby, Victoria, Lane and Darian, and several great grandchildren. Bobbie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to Eros United Pentecostal Church to fund a new roof for the sanctuary. (PO Box 38 Eros, LA 71238)
