Dear Callie, I am saddened to learn that Bob passed away. As you know, Bob and I along with you, his younger sister grew up together in Bernice, LA. I have many fond memories of our early childhood days such as when your mother taught me to play the piano, and we boys explored and built play camps in the woods, rode horses together sometimes in rodeos, went to the local "picture show" on Saturday afternoons to see movies of our favorite western actors, and generally did most of the things that youngsters did in the 1950s growing up in small, rural southern towns. I even learned to ride a bicycle using Bob's because I never had one of my own inside the white fence in the front yard of your home on Hwy 167 in Bernice. Bob was a dear friend who will certainly be missed but never forgotten. Please know that I care and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and to the entire Minter family.

Uncle Bob and my daddy, Don, we're friends as long as I can remember. I'm sure Heaven is ringing with their laughter as they go "wet a hook" together like old times. I thought a lot of Uncle Bob and am saddened by his passing.
