Moving to Monroe from Baton Rouge in 1985, he worked as a steel building representative and developed an extensive network of contacts and relationships. Then in 1996, he established Bing Bishop Construction Company which has developed into a multi-dimensional building company. With Dixie at his side, both at work and home, Bing became the go-to craftsman who always insisted on quality and style.Bing was a true mentor to so many in the field of construction and life. He created a culture of family at the company which was evidenced by the love that he and his employees had for each other. Monroe homeowners and business people alike will quickly attest to the fact that Bing never considered a project complete until his client was totally satisfied.Bing enjoyed life! Whether he was watching his boys sporting events, duck hunting, golfing with his buddies, or just gathering with friends and family, he was always living life to the fullest. Bing spent the last several years with his church family at Covenant Presbyterian. He became very involved in the church and recently completed construction of the new sanctuary.
