Funeral services for Billy Wayne Bill Simmons will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Bro. Don Tate officiating. Interment will follow at Cartwright Cemetery near Eros, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.Mr. Simmons was born on May 26, 1943 in Hope, AR and passed away on May 27, 2017 in Monroe, LA. He proudly served in the U. S. Marines during the Vietnam War and was a retired warehouse manager. He was a member of Whites Ferry Road Church in West Monroe, LA. He will be remembered as easy going and fun loving. He was preceded in death by a brother John Simmons and his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Erie Simmons.He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Molly Simmons; son, Ben Simmons and wife, Carla; daughters, Jennifer Gorman and husband, Brian and Heather Barham and husband, Daniel; brother, George Simmons and wife, Regina; sister, Judy Kilcrease and husband, Keith; 5 grandchildren, Lauren, Megan, Josh, Caroline and Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Brian Simmons, Charlie Simmons, Todd Ardoin, Gary Richardson, Scott Markgraf, and Jerry Griggs.Memorials may be made to Black Bayou Lake National Refuge, 480 Richland PL, Monroe, LA 71203.Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
