Billy T. Culpepper, “Papa”, owner of American Exterminating Company, went to be with his heavenly father on Monday, October 31, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. Papa was born to Dallas and Estelle Culpepper on October 5, 1930, in Homer, Louisiana. Mr. Culpepper served in the United States Air Force. After his discharge from the military, he met and married Patricia Dale Love, and they made their home in West Monroe. Mr. Culpepper was a Mason and a member of the Barak Shrine Temple. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dallas and Estelle Culpepper, his twin brother, Bobby Culpepper and his wonderful grandson, Jacob Terrell Culpepper. He is survived by wife of 54 years, Patricia Culpepper, West Monroe; sons, Ron Edwards of Houston, Texas; Terry Culpepper of West Monroe; Phillip Culpepper Debbi of West Monroe; daughters, Brenda Whitfield Tim of Minden; Christine Elwess of Denver, Colorado; 11 grandchildren, including a very special granddaughter that he called his number 1 boss, Cricket Culpepper, who he loved with all his heart, who was her best friend; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; Sisters, Elaine Henry A.C.; Lorraine Ray; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe, Louisiana. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and great grandsons; At this time, the family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of The Oaks for the love and care shown to Papa during his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
