Funeral services for Billy Jack “Buck” Averitte, Jr., 55, of West Monroe, are 2:00PM Sunday, December 30, 2012, at the Luna Assembly of God with Pastor Joel Brackett officiating. Interment follows in the church cemetery under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Born February 24th, 1957 in Monroe, Louisiana, he passed away Thursday, December 27th, 2012, in West Monroe. “Buck” was a long-time employee of the Bancroft Bag Company with over 30 years of service. He was an active member of the Luna Assembly of God where he served as a board member and the Young Adult Minister. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; daughters, Roxann Averitte and Ashley Howze and husband, Jason; grandson, Austin Howze and granddaughter, Courtney Howze; parents, Billy Jack and Ann Averitte, Sr.; Rose Lewis, sister; Randy Averitte, brother; Sherry Wheat, sister; and Dawn Wheat sister; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Clint Lenard, Kelby Lenard, Ricky Brown, Ted Foster, Alton Downs, and Mike Jones. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, December 29th, 2012, from 5:00 to 8:00PM at the Luna Assembly of God, 2843 Red Cut Road, West Monroe.
