Funeral services for Billy Haisty, 76, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at House of Prayer International. Pastor Ron Brown and Pastor Mike Reed will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe. Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 12:30 P.M. at the church.
Billy was born on October 27, 1948 in Monroe and passed away on November 9, 2024 in West Monroe. He was a retired insurance salesman. A gifted musician, Billy played several musical instruments. His specialty was the drums, which he played in Church several years ago and also in the Gospel group, “The Pacemakers”. He loved Jesus and served Him faithfully for 51 years. He was a devoted and loving Daddy to his three beautiful daughters and son, Billy, Jr. His grandchildren were the joy of his life, and he enjoyed spending time with them. Momma and Daddy were married for over 57 years. He was a wonderful husband, who loved his wife as Christ loves the Church. He was her treasure.
Billy was preceded in death by his son, Billy Ray Haisty, Jr.; his parents, J.B. Haisty and Emma Lou Phillips Haisty; brothers, Donny Haisty, Bobby Haisty; sister, Olivia Ray.
Billy is survived by his wife, Shirley Scott Haisty; children, Teddi Haisty Bailey and husband Jimmy, Deanni Haisty Parker and husband Phil, Kelli Haisty Reed and husband Mike; grandchildren, Philip Parker, Landon Parker, Austin Bailey and wife Erika, Zachary Reed, Chloe Reed; brother, Ronnie Haisty; and many other cherished family and friends.
Daddy was loved deeply, and is so missed by his loving family.
We know he’s with Jesus now, enjoying the splendor of Heaven, and rejoicing with his loved ones around the Throne.
Pallbearers will be Kayhon Sciara, Jordan Bishop, Wayne Tidwell, Frank Bell, Bruce Bishop, and John Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons and Elders of House of Prayer International.
Thank you to all of Billy’s insurance clients. He loved each of you so much. Thank you to Hospice Compassus for your loving care for our “Daddy” for the last year and a half. And to our precious Aimee, Daddy’s personal nurse for 3 years, thank you for loving him, entertaining him, making him laugh, and caring for him like no other. You became a daughter. We are forever grateful for your care for him until the end.
