Graveside service for Billie Jean Rogers Lamkin, 89, of Ruston, will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Alabama Cemetery, 16510 Hwy. 151, Arcadia, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.Billie Jean was born on January 26, 1930, in Stamps, AR to James Coburn and Vera Ruth Rogers. She passed away on June 7, 2019 in Ruston. Billie was a member of First Baptist Church in Ruston.Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Lamkin and her parents.Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Joyce English; children, Harrel Lamkin (Janie) and Janet Faulkner (Mark); grandchildren: Anna Beth Brunson (Jacob), Katie Sandifer (Doyle), and Kevin Sherrard (Lennie); great grandchildren, Ryan Allen Sandifer, Sean Adam Sandifer, Vera Evelyn Sherrard, and another little girl due in October; and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to the LA Baptist Children Home, 7200 Desiard Street, Monroe, LA 71203.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
