Betty Snell was born on January 2, 1934 in Spencer, Louisiana and passed away on February 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Spencer Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mildred Brasher Owen, daughter Kathy Dunn, and son in law Joe Arredondo.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Jasper Snell; children, Tracey Cain and husband Mike; Stacey Arredondo; and 4 granddaughters, 10 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson due in May; daughter in law Julie Walker, special cousin Sherry Spillers and many nieces and nephews and other cherished family and friends.

Betty and Jasper had been married for 74 years on February 3rd. She had 3 daughters who she loved very much and her grandchildren and great-grands were the light of her life.

Betty worked at Albrittons Pharmacy for 35 years before she retired. She loved all of her customers at the pharmacy. Betty and Jasper loved to deer hunt and they had a hunting camp at Oakland where they spent a lot of time during hunting season. She also loved just sitting in the deer stand and take pictures of the deer. Betty and Jasper also went to Junction, Texas to hunt. She had a passion for books, jewelry and singing in the choir at church.

Betty was a lifelong member of Spencer Baptist Church where she was the Sunday school secretary for years. Betty will be missed by all that loved
