Funeral services for Betty Sue Agin Scott, 82, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church in West Monroe with Bro. Werner Aswell and assisted by Bro. Greg Green officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home ~ West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
Betty was born on February 10, 1940 in Downsville, Louisiana and went to her heavenly home on October 9, 2022. She retired from Tru-Lite Inc. after 30+ years of service. Betty went to work at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church as the secretary for the Music Minister until 2018. She faithfully served at the church all her life. Betty was a member of a local quilting guild and loved traveling with the Mulhearn Group. She married the love of her life, the late Billy Joe Scott on July 6, 1962 and was also preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Agin and Vernette McLeod Agin; brothers, James Agin, Charles Agin; and granddaughter, Whitney McLaughlin.
Betty is survived by her children, Terry Scott and wife Deb, Todd Scott and wife Janis, Rhonda Scott McLaughlin and husband Clay, Gaye Plaisance; grandchildren, James, Megan, Eddie, Eric, Justin, Brendon, Myranda, Rianna, Jenna; great-grandchildren, Makenna, Milan, Christian, Xander; sister, Debbie Stovall; brother – in-law, Red Scott and wife Vi; special friend, Dianne Guilliot; many other cherished family and friends.
