Funeral services for Betty Bryant will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Interment will be at 12:00 noon at Canaan Cemetery near Lockhart, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 5 7 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.Betty was born on February 6, 1934 and passed away on December 5, 2016. She was a great biscuit maker and cook having worked for McDonald and at Downsville High School. Betty enjoyed her dog, Cocoa, going to church (The Way Ministry), and sitting on her porch. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Bryant, and her parents Seabon and Myrtle Acree Littleton. She is survived by her son, Ricky Bryant (Ruston); daughter, Lynn Gates (Downsville); brothers: James Littleton and Billy Littleton (Downsville); sister-in-laws: Louise Greer (El Dorado), Margie Phillips (El Dorado), Sandra Littleton (Downsville), and Eula Littleton (Downsville); nieces and nephews: Doris King (El Dorado), Andrea Littleton (Downsville), Keith Phillips (Ruston), Curtis Littleton (Calhoun), Mark Littleton (Downsville), Eric Littleton (Downsville); and many friends and church family.Online condolences may be made to the family @ www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.

I am very sorry to read of your loss. With Mrs. Bryant accomplishments, her love and joys, she was an amazing woman! I won't pretend to know what you're going through, but what has helped me deal with the loss of those I love, is turning to the Scriptures, something that has been a real source of comfort. One Scripture that gives me hope is, John 11:25, which says, " Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." I hope that this verse will also comfort you and, I hope you and your family can get through this difficult time. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved mother and friend.
