Betty Jo Neal Head passed from this life on March 20, 2021. She was born into the union of Ethel Faye McDaniel and Charles Oswald “Shorty” Neal on September 6, 1929. Mrs. Head was a member of Old Union Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde LaVern Head; son, Larry Neal; daughters, Teresa Lane Head Nelson and Linda LaVaern Head Gates.
Mrs. Head is survived by her sister, Billie Bass (Charles) of Hammond, Louisiana; grandchildren, Traci Nelson Babusek (Dan) of West Monroe, Jo Ella Simpson (Tal) of Farmerville, Becky Williams (James) of Farmerville, Kacey Nelson of Grayson, and Terry Neal Gates (Heather) of Pensacola, Florida; eight great-grandchildren, Wyatt Harrell, Kelli McEnery Decelle (Morgan), Terri Lea Kern, Wiley Reeves, Natalie Harrell, Michael Kern, Savannah Reeves, and Cameron Babusek; and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
