Funeral services for Betty Jo Chelette Avery Chadwick will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 26, 2016 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe LA. Rev. Andy Myrick and Rev. Larry Hibbard will officiate. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens. Betty was born June 22, 1933 and went to be with our Lord and Savior February 23, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, and two husbands.Betty is survived by children Sandra Avery Parks (Mike), Mike Avery (Pat), grandchildren Mandy Copeland (Dock), Amy Boddie (Stewart), Quincy Avery (Tasha), and great grandchildren Alexis Rials (Thomas), Jared Copeland, Blake Aaron, Cooper Boddie, Brooklyn Avery, and Cason Avery.Serving as pallbearers will be Dock Copeland, Jared Copeland, Bruce Hankins, Britt Hankins, Danny McGrew, and John Middlebrooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Simpson, Quincy Avery, Stewart Boddie, Blake Aaron.The family greatly appreciates Shelly and Denise from St. Joseph Hospice for their care and support. Visitation will be Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

So sorry to hear of "Aunt" Betty Jo's passing. I hadn't got to visit with her in years, but she was so sweet to me when I was younger and I treasure those visits. Aunt Betty, her sisters and Aunt Lela and Uncle Walter were the only part of Daddy's father's side of the family we knew. We loved them all so much. My condolences to her family.

My earliest memory of aunt Betty was when I was 11 years old her and uncle Chuck came and got me and my brothers every chance they could for the weekend. We had so much fun being around dad's family. We always looked forward to going to their home. Aunt Betty always fixed us a hugh breakfast with everything from biscuits and eggs and bacon to cold Cereal all at the same time. It was like being at Shoneys. This is one lady that's gonna be missed greatly.
