Betty Jewel Morgan Turner, age 77, of Sterlington, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born in Coy, Alabama, on May 20, 1948, to Annie and Matthew Morgan.  She was employed for many years at MacMillian Bloedel in Pine Hill, Alabama.  She later moved to Monroe, Louisiana, where she owned and operated a Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio.

Betty was preceded in death by Fred Turner, her husband of 41 years, as well as Rex Parker, to whom she was married as a young woman.  Betty was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mollie Ann Morgan Primm; brother, Wilson Morgan; an unnamed stillborn brother; niece, Elizabeth Primm Morgan; brother-in-law, William Primm; and nephew’s wife, Kathy Primm.

Betty is survived by her step-daughter, DeNeen (Benny) Turner Wyles; grandchildren, Jessica Wyles (Joshua) Brown, Benjamin (Emily) Wyles, and Jordan Parker; great-grandchildren, Alec Brown, Bryce Brown, Piper Peevy, Camden Brown, John-Everett Brown, Foster Brown, and Georgia Brown; nieces, Amanda Morgan (Matthew) Cox, Jennifer Morgan (Curtis) Baggett, Gabriela Camacho (Eugenio) Saenz, Melissa Camacho, and Enma Camacho; nephews, John Allen Primm, Frank Primm, Tommy (Michele) Primm, Nicholas Turner, Jeremy (Yuson) Turner;  sister-in-law, Ann Morgan; brothers-in-law, Bruce (Marsha) Turner and Enrique (Lupita) Camacho.  She is also survived by her best friend Charlotte (Don) DeFreese and many beloved cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, Louisiana, on May 31, 2025, from noon until 1:00 p.m.  A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coy Cemetery Fund, c/o Community Neighbor Bank, P.O.
